LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Witnesses say a deputy fired shots at a motel Monday night. It happened at the Tice Motel near Palm Beach Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue. Three witnesses tell WINK News a deputy tried to stop a vehicle in the motel parking lot, but the car sped up and brushed the deputy. He was not hurt and he fired at least two shots at the fleeing vehicle. It’s not known if the bullets struck the vehicle, or the two people inside.
