DAYTONA, Fla. (AP) – Daytona Beach police said a man was arrested Saturday on charges that he punched a 76-year-old woman in the face and walked away.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Douglas B. Wingo, 32, was charged with aggravated assault on a person 65 years or older.

Wingo allegedly walked up to the woman Wednesday on South Ridgewood Avenue and said “where’s the freaking police” twice before he hit her in the face, knocking her to the ground. He then walked away.

She was admitted to the hospital with a possible broken nose, bruised left eye and brain swelling.

After video of the incident was released to media, several people called to identify Wingo.

He was arrested 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

He was taken to the Volusia County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
