LeBron James and Warner Bros. announced a partnership on Wednesday, and now rumors are swirling about the possibility of James starring in Space Jam 2. This is not the first — or second — time James has been mentioned as a potential co-star for Bugs Bunny, so perhaps there’s fire with this smoke.

Just last month, Warner Bros. filed new trademarks for Space Jam, as noted by Capital New York’s Alex Weprin. This doesn’t necessarily mean a new movie is on its way, but you have to think it’s at least being discussed.

“Connecting with my fans and telling meaningful stories have always been my passion,” James said in a statement. “In everything I’ve done, from Nike commercials to Uninterrupted and Survivor’s Remorse, it’s always about connecting with people of all ages and providing unique content they can all enjoy. And I’ve always loved movies, which makes Warner Bros. the ultimate partner to help us continue to push the envelope. I can’t wait to see what we come up with.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers star can currently be seen in Trainwreck, and he’s earning great reviews for his acting. He’s already doing better than Shaquille O’Neal did.
