MGN FORT MYERS, Fla.- Authorities are investigating two weekend shootings that could be connected. On Sunday just before 3 a.m., Fort Myers police responded the area of Hook’s Seafood Restaurant located on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in response to gunshots being heard in the area. Police say two people were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. While investigating the shooting near the restaurant, the police department received another call of a person who had been shot. Officers responded to 2100 block of Davis Court and found a man who was suffering from a non-life threatening injury. He was also transported to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment. Investigators are attempting to determine if these incidents are related.
