Street conditions improve after late night flooding

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Road conditions have improved after late-night flooding on Wednesday.

Several roads around Fort Myers were covered with standing water after heavy rain.

Cars were getting stuck in the water in the Dean Park area, a manhole was overflowing, and Lee County deputies shut down several roads off Palm Beach Boulevard.

By Thursday morning, most of that water had receded. There was one trouble spot at Veronica S. Shoemaker Boulevard and Brookhill Drive, but that water went down by 6 a.m.
