Viral photo of Lee County bus driver causing controversy

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- The picture of a Lee County school bus driver allegedly with her pants down outside a Cape Coral middle school is spreading throughout social media like wildfire.

The picture taker tells WINK News exclusively, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The man who only wanted to be identified as Anthony, says he took the picture right outside Caloosa Middle School at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.

“I was driving past the school, when I saw this bus, and I saw the bus driver sitting outside. And I saw her with her pants down, sitting right underneath the steps of the bus, and I saw her peeing,” said Anthony.

Anthony says he only shared the picture on Facebook because he thought what the driver was doing, was wrong.

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I couldn’t believe that a public employee was doing that out in public. Everyone keeps asking me, ‘how did you that’s what she was doing?’ But you could tell that’s what was happening,” said Anthony.

WINK News shared the photo with the Lee County School District over the weekend.

“It’s admirable of you to be nice enough to share that,” said Lee County School District Transportation Director Robert Morgan.

Morgan says his department is actively investigating.

“I can tell you, we did go to the bus operators who serve that school, to try to find out who it was. I have a bus number, a time, a location. Why don’t we let that person tell us what happened?” said Morgan. “If it is indeed that, I think we have to allow the benefit of that person giving an explanation.”

“I would really like to see something change, something happen because of this. It’s just not right, and this shouldn’t be happening,” said Anthony.

The bus driver has not been identified while the school district continues its investigation.
