CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Two suspects in a burglary spree are in jail after police say a victim chased them down.

Police say Tajian Willoughby, 18, and JordynYepez, 18, were caught stealing from a car in the 3300 block of SE 19th Avenue.

Officers say the victim’s husband chased the pair down the street on foot and continued following them as they headed towards Del Prado Boulevard and Viscaya Parkway.

The suspects began throwing the stolen items from the car once they realized they were being followed.

Police were able to pull over and detain Willoughby, Yepez, and a third person.

Willoughby and Yepez were charged with car burglary and violating their probation. Authorities believe the teenagers are responsible for a rash of car burglaries and stolen cars that occurred overnight on September 23. Officials say additional charges are pending.
