ESTERO, Fla.- The office where Dr. Teresa Sievers worked for years is now closed.

Sievers was murdered in her Bonita Springs home back in June. Since then, her husband, Mark Sievers, has told patients that they were unable to find another doctor to takeover the practice.

Family members say seeing the practice close is heartbreaking.

Sievers’ sister, Annie Lisa, tells WINK News, “I used to love to walk into that office and look up at my sisters name (and) the letters after it continued to grow. When I heard that her name was taken off of the building roster, I cried for the loss of my dear sister– my copilot in life.”

Mark Sievers, seen clearing out the office on Friday, declined to comment.

His childhood friend, Curtis Wayne Wright, and another man, Jimmy Rodgers, face second-degree murder charges in the doctor’s death.

Wright is in the Lee County Jail awaiting trial. Rodgers is serving time in federal prison for a probation violation, then he’ll be extradited to Lee County.
