Detectives investigating possible connection between robberies

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Detectives in Lee and Charlotte Counties are investigating whether two robberies this week are connected.

The first robbery happened at a North Fort Myers Circle K on Sunday. Authorities released a photo of the suspect wearing a white North Fort Myers sweatshirt and black gloves.

The next robbery took place Monday afternoon, at the Busey Bank located on the 2800 block of Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda. Detectives say the suspect in that robbery wore a similar outfit to the first one.

“There’s definitely a reason to at least have a conversation, compare some notes, and see if indeed we are looking at the same individual,” said Trish Routte with Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

If you have any information, contact Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
