DELAND, Fla. (AP) – Police say a 19-year-old central Florida man stabbed his parents during an argument.

DeLand police Sgt. Chris Estes says Jaelon Robbins entered his parents’ home early Monday and stabbed 43-year-old Kristee Lynn Holloman as she lay on a couch. When 42-year-old Michael Robbins came in to help, the son stabbed him as well.

An incident report says both parents were stabbed multiple times with a folding pocket knife that was found covered in blood in the kitchen.

Estes tells the Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1lLl5h2 ) Jaelon Robbins went to a neighbor’s house after the incident. He was charged with two counts of attempted murder. It’s not clear whether he’s hired a lawyer.

His parents were taken to a hospital in nearby Sanford. By Monday evening, they were listed in stable condition.
