
CLEWISTON, Fla. – A wildfire in Hendry County is 100 percent contained, the Caloosahatchee Forestry Center reported Wednesday evening.

The fire, which Caloosahatchee FC is calling the ‘Canal Fire,’ burned through 25 acres of land and caused smoke to cloud parts of State Road 80, authorities said.

The fire does not pose a threat to nearby structures, Caloosahatchee FC said.
