Man wanted in connection to Lehigh car burglaries

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- A man is believed to have stolen thousands of dollars in cash, credit cards and expensive personal belongings during two car burglaries in Lehigh Acres.

The first incident was reported on Sunday, April 11 in the 300 block of University Drive.

Between the hours of 6 p.m. on April 10 and 7 a.m. on April 11, the victim’s unlocked car was broken into. The thief stole a wallet containing cash, credit cards and the victim’s drivers license.

Just over two weeks later, a second vehicle burglary was reported in the 200 block of E. 5th Street on Saturday, April 30.

Between 10 p.m.- 11 p.m., the unlocked vehicle parked in the victim’s driveway was broken into. Jewelry, a Michael Kors purse, Ray Ban sunglasses, medication and credit cards totaling $2,100 were taken from the car.

In the days following the two break-ins, a man was spotted on surveillance video on separate occasions attempting to use cards stolen from the two burglaries.
