City leaders consider solution linking crime and drugs

FORT MYERS, Fla. – City leaders are looking to tackle crime by adopting a program created to eliminate drug markets.

The Drug Market Intervention Program is most famous for its implementation in High Point, North Carolina, where the number of homicides have drastically fallen from at least 20 to just four annually.
