Immokalee man accused of stabbing roommate

IMMOKALEE, Fla. — A man stabbed his roommate during a fight, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Gregorio Gomez, 40, stuck a knife in the back of the victim at their home on 122 North Fourth Street, according to the sheriff’s office. Witnesses said they were drinking before their fight.

The victim told deputies that Gomez charged him, so he fled. That’s when Gomez stabbed him in the back, the victim said.

Gomez faces a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He’s in custody, and no bond amount has been determined yet.
