ENGLEWOOD, Fla. — An elderly couple was rescued from their Englewood home on 10601 Topsail Avenue Tuesday night after it caught on fire. The fire started around 8:30 p.m. while Joseph Marinola and his wife were sleeping. Witnesses said a neighbor walking by noticed the fire and started beating on the door until the couple woke up and were able to escape. A video, courtesy of Jim Katsiamakis, shows the home fully engulfed in flames. The fire marshal is currently investigating the fire. No further information was immediately available.
