SANIBEL, Fla. — A landscape worker screamed and appeared to lose consciousness as he hung from a tree after receiving an electric shock as a palm frond hit a power line Wednesday on Limpet Drive, witnesses said. The unidentified tree trimmer was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown. Thomas Bruno, who was working down the street, said seeing the man dangling was traumatizing. “He was still hanging in the tree, passed out and everything, drooling from the mouth,” he said. “There was really nothing much we could actually do except for pray for him and pray for the fire department to come.” No further information was immediately available.
