Injured fan’s mother grateful for Blake Shelton’s surprise tickets

FORT MYERS, Fla. — One mother was overjoyed when country music star Blake Shelton granted the wish of a lifetime to her son who couldn’t attend his concert due to a motorcycle crash.

Jonathan Daniels got into a motorcycle the day after he gave his girlfriend, Lindsey Baker, tickets to Blake Shelton’s concert in Brooklyn for her birthday in October.

Unfortunately, the 25-year-old was in the hospital for weeks with life threatening injuries and they couldn’t go.

“Lindsey stayed the entire time with him while he was in the hospital,” said Lisa Bell, Daniel’s mother and Southwest Florida resident. “She never left his side, she fought for him, she encouraged him, she prayed for him.”

Determined to recover and make his girlfriend happy, he posted on Facebook and Blake Shelton sent them a video offering tickets and wanting to meet the couple.

Although she couldn’t be with him for the holidays Bell said she was grateful Daniels survived the accident to go to the concert.

“It just made everybody’s Christmas so much merrier that they were able to hear from him,” she said.

The couple is unsure when they’ll be able to attend the concert as Daniels has a long road to recovery.
