FORT MYERS, Fla. — Between $80 and $100 aimed at helping wildlife was stolen this weekend from a donation box at Calusa Blueway Outfitters inside the Lee County Manatee Park. Thieves dismantled an air-conditioning unit to gain access to the building at 10901 Palm Beach Blvd., according to Elaine Knights, assistant manager for the kayak and canoe rental facility. The business plans to increase security to prevent future thefts.
