NAPLES, Fla. — A Golden Gate man is accused of using his underwear to conceal drugs that he took into the Naples Jail Center.

Collier County Sheriff’s deputies found a pouch of marijuana in the underwear of Sherman Pierre Perry, 36, of 5490 29th Pl SW, while they were searching him following a Friday arrest, the sheriff’s office said.

Perry was a passenger in a car that had been pulled over and deputies found marijuana in his pocket at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. He unloaded a pill bottle with marijuana and oxycodone in the backseat of a patrol car while being taken to jail, deputies later discovered.

Perry is in custody facing five drug-related charges. His bond is set at $22,000.
