FORT MYERS, Fla. — Monteverde Academy took on fellow basketball powerhouse IMG Academy Tuesday night during the semifinals of the City of Palms Classic.
The Monteverde Eagles were ahead by 11 points late in the third quarter.
IMG Academy then fought back in the fourth quarter and closed the cap to only a two-point lead with two minutes left.
However, Monteverde held on to clinch a 70-66 victory.
