The Eagles, who are ranked 12th in the country, managed to break a 4-4 tie with three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning after junior Julio Gonzalez and senior Nick Rivera after scored on back-to-back walks with the bases loaded, as well as a sacrifice fly from senior Corey Fehribach. FGCU will face the Tigers for game two Saturday at 2 p.m. at Swanson Stadium.
