Sketch released of North Fort Myers sexual battery suspect

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A sketch of a man accused of sexual battery and aggravated assault was released Wednesday.

The man is armed and considered dangerous, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said. The incident took place around noon Saturday in a wooden area behind the RaceTrac on 3010 Pine Island Road.

A silver-and-black Smith & Wesson 9 mm gun was later found in the area, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

He was last seen with his hair pulled up into a ponytail and was clean shaven, according to Crime Stoppers. He may be driving an older model black Pontiac Firebird, Trans Am or a white van.
