Outdoor burning will be against the rules in Lee County for another seven days. Lee County extended its burn ban Tuesday for a second time after it was originally enacted two weeks ago. It prohibits campfires, bonfires and trash fires. County commissioners also amended the ban to allow the Florida Forest Service to conduct prescribed burns, a measure designed to prevent wildfires. The commission’s resolution extending the burn ban is below:
