FORT MYERS, Fla. Schools around Southwest Florida are planning to extend closures as Hurricane Irma recovery continues:
- Florida Gulf Coast University will be closed through Tuesday, Sept. 19
- Collier County schools will be closed through Friday, Sept. 22. (Teachers return Sept. 22, students Sept. 25.)
- Lee County Schools will be closed through Friday, Sept. 22.
- Rasmussen College Fort Myers campus will be closed indefinitely.
- Hendry County Schools will be closed through Tuesday, Sept. 19
- DeSoto County Schools will be closed through Tuesday, Sept. 19
- St. Andrew Catholic School will be closed through Tuesday, Sept. 19
- St. John Neumann Catholic High School will be closed through Tuesday, Sept. 19.
