SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. The intersection of Daniels Parkway and Six Mile Cypress Parkway reopened around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

A dump truck was traveling south on Six Mile Cypress Parkway with the bed portion of the truck in an up position, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said. The bed hit a power line, forcing the brief closure earlier in the afternoon.

Florida Power and Light responded to the scene, disabled and removed the power lines, deputies said. There were no injuries.

Witnesses told deputies the driver of the dump truck briefly stopped then fled the scene eastbound on Daniels Parkway.
