Power line issue shuts Corkscrew Road at Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy.

ESTERO, Fla. A low-hanging power line forced the closure the intersection of Corkscrew Road and Ben Hill Griffin on Friday afternoon, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Traffic is being diverted through the neighboring Miromar Outlets, according to the sheriff’s office.

It’s unclear what caused the power lines to descend or how long the roadblock will persist.
