A truck crashed into a restaurant building causing thousands of dollars in damage. The truck created a massive hole in the building, shattering the entire front window of the restaurant. Investigators told WINK News the driver was trying to avoid a crash with another car and over corrected.

A truck crashed into a Honduran restaurant off Palm Beach Boulevard in Tice Friday.

“I was like, no, the car literally just crashed inside the restaurant,” said Janet Mazariagos, a waitress at the restaurant.

Mazariagos said patrons were eating, as the glass shattered, and the wheels of the truck drove toward them. A video captured in the restaurant shows this depiction.

Mazariagos said she was decorating the store for Christmas when she heard a loud noise. Mazariagos saw broken glass, frightened customers and truck wheels that destroyed the front of the building.

“They ran out,” Mazariagos said. “And everything was a big chaos here.”

Law enforcement is warning drivers to slow down, especially along roads with sidewalks, as more customers begin to trickle in with the holidays.

Luckily, everyone inside the restaurant walked away without injures.

“We’re hoping to get this fixed really fast because this is a busy place,” Mazariagos said.
