Police identify mother and son found dead in their Fort Myers home

Fort Myers Police Department were on scene of a death investigation on the 1400 block of Floral Drive off in Fort Myers Thursday.

Police confirm Kenya Ellis, 41, and her son Julian Ellis, 10, were found dead at the residence off Michigan Avenue and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard. Ellis was not responding to calls from family members which caused concern and prompted a check.

When officers arrived they said they discovered two deceased individuals. They say it appears to be an isolated incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and there is no danger to the public.
