Someone stole a Jeep from a nurse at the NCH campus in North Naples while she was in the middle of a 12-hour shift saving lives.

We spoke to nurse Cristina Roman on the phone Tuesday, and she says her family’s dream car was stolen from the NCH North Naples hospital parking garage.

Roman and her husband had recently bought the Jeep and have not even made their first payment on it.

Bits of shattered glass could be seen from the spot where the Jeep was stolen. The nurse also noticed the cables cut on the security camera near where someone stole her car.

During our chat with Roman, she told us she had just finished another busy night shift that lasted 12 hours when she noticed her Jeep was gone.

“It feels pretty bad walking out,” Roman said. “You’re tired; you just want to go home and go to sleep; and then you don’t find your car; and now you can’t even get home.”

The nurse says, for now, she’s sharing a borrowed car with her husband.

She called Collier County Sheriff’s Office, and investigators are trying to track down the thief.
