A 52-year-old man was arrested after deputies said he robbed a Golden Gate convenience store while armed with a weapon Monday night.

Levell Maurice Ramsey faces a charge of armed robbery.

Deputies said Ramsey entered the Circle K store at 12405 Collier Blvd., around 10:30 p.m. He approached the clerk while brandishing a knife and demanded money. The clerk gave Ramsey a bag with money inside.

Ramsey then walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was found hiding in a nearby dumpster and deputies said the clerk identified Ramsey as the robber. Deputies also reviewed store security video which showed Ramsey entering the store at the time of the robbery and leaving with a bag.

He is currently in the Collier County Jail.
