A flash flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Southwestern Lee County until 8:45 p.m. Just before 6 p.m., the radar indicated that 12 inches off rain has fallen in the past 24 hours and another three inches per hour are expected. Areas such as Sanibel, Captiva and Cape Coral could be impacted. Some flooding has already occurred.
