Lauren Dumolo. Credit: via Cape Coral Police Department. Community members are hosting “We Ride for Lauren,” a fundraising ride and event, Saturday to raise awareness and continue to engage the community in the search for missing Cape Coral woman Lauren Dumolo. Lauren has been missing since June 19 after last being seen at her home in south Cape Coral. A route map is below for the ride. Intersections will be operating as normal, so law enforcement ask participants to obey all traffic laws. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. The event for Lauren begins 12 p.m. at the Big 10 Tavern at 4703 SW 16th Place. Single riders are $15, and double riders are $25. There will be a silent auction, food and drinks, a 50/50 raffle, live music and other family-friendly activities — all to benefit the search for Lauren and going toward the SWFL Crime Stoppers reward. Lauren’s story is resonating with many people in the community. She’s a mom, a sister and a daughter. “If I saw Lauren, I would just say, ‘I’m so happy to meet you, everyone has been looking for you, and misses you and you’re so special and you’re loved, and thank you God for bringing you home and…’ It just, it would be amazing. I have chills just thinking about it,” said Danielle Langevi who organized the Ride for Lauren. One day, one week or one month — it’s all too long for Paul Dumolo to go without his daughter. But now, he’s past month three with no signs of hope as to where his baby girl has gone. “Every day you hope the phone rings or somebody comes in with a tip that you know there’s some good news something you know. I think the not knowing is worse than anything,” he said. These past months, Paul has searched for answers for Lauren’s whereabouts. He knows his daughter; she wouldn’t just walk away from her life. When he talks about the kind of person she is, his eyes light up, saying she’s a kind, bubbly, would-give-the-shirt-off-her-back kind of girl — just the way he raised her. Saturday, Paul and those who have aided in the search for Lauren are hoping to get more answers. Paul says you never know what information could help. Anyone with information about Lauren can contact Cape Coral Police Department at (239) 574-3223, submitting an anonymous tip at www.capecops.com/tips, sending a message through the CCPD social media platforms or calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS using the case report #20-011323.
