Police searching for car involved in Lee County hit and run

Authorities are on the lookout for a car that was involved in a hit-and-run crash on southbound I-75 Thursday morning.

The car responsible, a black sedan of unknown make and model, was traveling south in the inside lane of I-75 near mile marker 117 around 4:33 a.m, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The victim, a 38-year-old Naples man, was likewise southbound on I-75, in the center lane. The right side of the black car collided with the left side of the victim’s car, sending the victim’s car off the right side of the roadway.

The front of his car collided with a concrete wall located on the grass shoulder,
west of I-75, while the black car left the scene of the crash. The Naples man was left with minor injuries.
