State of Florida MyVaccine website.

The State wants to help everyone better understand the current system for coronavirus vaccine registration, and it responded to us when we asked for clarity to help you complete the process.

Florida Division of Emergency Management confirmed Thursday, “The best way for individuals to provide their information to the State for an appointment is by visiting the MyVaccine website or by calling 866-200-3468.”

Division’s full statement

Before calling or visiting the website, individuals should be prepared to provide their name, birth date, contact information and zip code. This will place them in a queue to receive a call back from a representative once appointments are available in their area. Individuals do not need to provide their contact information multiple times: Providing this information multiple times will not increase chances of receiving an appointment. Callbacks are made in the order individuals register.

Individuals do not need to be a resident of Lee County to utilize the statewide system. Individuals only need to be a full-time or part-time resident of the state to receive a vaccine at a state-supported site.

If an individual misses a call, a detailed voicemail will be left and operators will make multiple attempts to reach the resident. Callbacks from the statewide pre-registration site will come from a number with a “239” area code. They can also expect to receive an email confirmation of their appointment if they provide their email.

If an individual has additional questions about their appointment, what to bring to their appointment or other general vaccine appointment questions, they can call the designated help line number for Lee County: 888-499-0851.
