Fort Myers Police Department is asking for the public’s help Wednesday to help police detectives identify a male suspect and vehicle in connection to a case for a stolen bicycle.

According to FMPD, an individual was caught on surveillance in the area of the 4100 block of Lemongrass Drive within the Lennar at Castalina community. Investigators say the suspect was seen arriving on foot and later leaving the area on a stolen Fuji Supreme Elite women’s bike.

According to FMPD, the bicycle has Di2 electronic shifting, a terry butterfly saddle and water bottle holders. Internet listings show these bikes being worth thousands of dollars.

The suspect was described by a witness as approximately 6-feet tall, with reddish long hair and an unusually large mass on his lower back just above his belt line and right hip.
