A Cape Coral business is stepping up to help you succeed in your job search. Free services are now available for those who don’t have time or money to do them.

Dan Puleio is the owner of Cape Cleaners and says he may never stop feeling the pain 2020 brought. His 50-year-old dry-cleaning business took a hit, as did many other businesses in the Cape.

“Nobody was going to work. Nobody was going anywhere. They were sitting at home in their PJs. They didn’t need us,” Puleio said.

Watching people lose their jobs delivered an even bigger blow to his heart. “In the business community, a lot of my friends have bars and restaurants and they went through a hard time,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of folks who are still trying to get back to work and get back on their feet so if we can help a little bit we want to help.”

Now that his business is back, Puleio wants to do what he can to help others. So those who lost a job and are looking for another simply need to let him know.

“We’re offering $20 a week in free laundry and dry cleaning so you have an outfit to go on a job interview,’ said Puleio.

Whether they’re slacks that need a fine press or for your suit jackets to look as good as new, the doors to Cape Cleaners are open.

Jennifer Caron works at Cape Cleaners. “It’s going to give you a step up and hopefully get you in the right direction that you need to go,” Caron said.

The owner of Cape Cleaners says he will be offering this service until you land that new job. Those in need do not need to provide proof.
