A 28-year-old Naples man is dead following an ATV crash in Collier County.

The crash happened in the 3800 block of Oil Well Road just before 11 p.m. on Friday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to troopers, the man was driving an ATV (side by side) with five passengers on the north grassy shoulder of Oil Well Road, just east of Everglades Boulevard, when it approached a raised driveway and became airborne.

The ATV overturned and the man driving it was ejected and died on scene. A 21-year-old man, from Center Harbor, New Hampshire, suffered serious injuries. Four other passengers, between the ages of 20 and 29, suffered minor injuries.

All of the passengers were taken to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
