A 26-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of shooting and killing a man who was stopped in traffic.
Ricky Gaspar Ruiz, of Lehigh Acres, and co-conspirator Victor Jimmy Colon, 23, are accused of shooting and killing 21-year-old Isaiah Robles in traffic.
Video of the encounter shows the two men, who were arrested in Hialeah, running through traffic firing a gun at a vehicle.
Ruiz was found guilty on Jan. 21 following a trial in Lee County.
Ruiz shot Robles 16 times, according to the state attorney’s office.
Colon is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 14.
