A man driving a scooter was critically injured in a crash with an SUV on Daniels Parkway in Gateway on Thursday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV driven by a 25-year-old man from Lehigh Acres was traveling east in the right lane of Daniels Parkway, west of SR-82, around 6:40 a.m. A scooter driven by a 27-year-old man from Lehigh Acres was traveling directly in front of the SUV.
The SUV rear-ended the scooter near Timber Creek Drive. The man on the scooter was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
