A missing hiker was rescued from a mangrove marsh in Estero Bay State Park Preserve on Saturday.
Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater sent a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew to rescue the hiker and took her to Gulf Coast Hospital for evaluation.
The woman went missing around 4 p.m. Friday while on a nature walk with her husband.
The Coast Guard was contacted by Lee County Sheriff after other attempts to rescue were unsuccessful due to the environment.
She was found stuck in the deepest, marshiest part of the preserve.
