A tree fell on top of a daycare van full of kids in North Fort Myers. (CREDIT: WINK News) A tree branch fell onto a daycare van full of kids on Barrett Road in North Fort Myers. According to the North Fort Myers Fire Department, a passerby came to the fire station that neighbors the daycare and said that a tree limb had fallen on one of the daycare vans. Crews responded to the daycare and saw the limb had landed on the van as well as several other vehicles. Daycare van hit by a falling tree. (CREDIT: WINK News) All the kids that were in the van got out before the fire department showed up. The kids were evaluated for injuries and no injuries were reported, according to the North Fort Myers FD. Fire crews checked the other vehicles to make sure no one was in them. They were all clear. (CREDIT: WINK News) The fire department evacuated the back building of the daycare as well and the remainder of the tree ended up falling on the daycare. A tree removal company is still working to remove the tree from the daycare building. This is a developing story.
