Two children riding bikes in North Port were hit by a car Thursday afternoon.
According to the North Port Police Department, the driver who crashed into the children has been identified.
The pediatric trauma scene is being overseen by the North Port Police Department and North Port Fire Rescue.
NPPD has not released the location of where the crash happened.
NPPD said this is an active investigation and to use caution while driving because school is out and debris is all over the road.
