Stickers helping raise money to rebuild Southwest Florida businesses

A man and business owner in Southwest Florida is giving back and helping raise money to rebuild local businesses after Hurricane Ian.

“People lost their own homes, they lost their cars, they lost food in their fridge,” said Ray Medeiros.

What we’re all missing are the local favorites like the ones Medeiros loved on Fort Myers Beach.

“I was down in Fort Myers Beach on Labor Day weekend. And we stopped by the Lani Kai we stopped by Sunset Bar,” said Medeiros.

Medeiros’ love for the area was so strong his family decided to call the island home.

“When we moved down to Southwest Florida, we adopted Fort Myers Beach as our home beach. We’re like, this is where we belong. This is where we need to be. I absolutely love the beach,” Medeiros said.

Now, Medeiros has joined the fight to rebuild his home by selling stickers.

“I said, you know what, let’s make it simple. Let’s make it impactful with the font, and let’s make it impactful with what it says. And I wanted to incorporate Southwest Florida. That was my whole thing.”

100% of the proceeds from the sale of the stickers will go to local businesses.

“So this week, going forward. It’s going to go to Southwest Florida Hospitality Fund, which is put on by Visit Fort Myers.”

If you want to get one of the Stand With Florida stickers, they cost $10, and you can find them by clicking here.
