Four-day Naples Automotive Experience kicks off with a lineup of exotic cars

Maseratis, Buggatis, and Lamborghinis were all gathered for a good cause in Naples on Thursday.

“This is the kickoff party to our four-day Naples Automotive Experience,” said Steven Brooder, CEO at St. Matthew’s House.

Brooder said he’s excited to kick off the fourth annual jet port reception. Every cent raised goes straight toward the people of Southwest Florida.

“It’s rare to have a charity like this where 100% of whatever we’re able to raise where people donate,” said Tom O’Riordan, president of the Naples Ferrari Club.

O’Riordan is one of the people who make the Naples Automotive Experience happen every year. He’s raised more than a million dollars to support the non-profit because he knows exactly where the dollars go.

“Directly into programs to feed people to shelter people there, you know, alcohol and drug rehab program is really second to none in the country,” said O’Riordan.

O’Riordan said once a man he didn’t know thanked him for saving his life. He was one of the many who benefited from St. Matthew’s House programs. It’s why nearly 500 people showed up on Thursday.

“Great cars and a great cause,” said Bill Hyde.

“It’s always rewarding, right, to give back to those to serve the community. It’s really a great feeling,” Magda and Jason Schappert said.

They were all there to support a cause that supports good people.

Thursday’s kickoff event featured the fastest car in the world, a Riamc Nevera from Croatia.
