Sunday is the final day of the Shrimp Crawl where you can enjoy a shrimp boil or even indulge in a shrimp eating contest.

Fort Myers Beach will keep the tradition alive for what would have been the 65th annual Shrimp Fest.

Ever since Hurricane Ian it’s been hard for Erickson and Jenson Seafood. The storm wiped out three of their 11 boats and wiped out most of his competition. But that’s why this year they really had to work hard to get the shrimp eaten. These events are very helpful in achieving that end.

“We need people to know, that we’re back open. We need people to know that we’re not giving up. And every little thing counts. Every day we evolve and every day is getting better,” Anna Erickson from Erickson and Jenson Seafood said.

// “It should be a great day. We hope for a big come through and all the support is going to be much needed and much appreciated,” Erickson said.

Nine restaurants will be serving shrimp from Erickson and Jenson. The Shrimp Crawl promises great food, live music, and a trolley to the beach.
