According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, John Beck admitted to recently buying the laser and wanting to point it at the helicopter while in the air. Beck’s wife handed over the laser to LCSO. “Be advised, he hit us approximately two or three times,” the helicopter pilot said. Beck was then arrested and has since bonded out of jail.
