Isolated storms and breezy for Easter Sunday forecast

Published: Updated:

High temperatures today will be slightly more mild than last week’s stretch of the 90s with temperatures only climbing into the mid-to-upper 80s this afternoon for most of Southwest Florida.

Spotty rain will likely begin in the late morning hours before developing into isolated storms in the early afternoon and continuing into the evening.

Rain and storms will generally track southeastward throughout the day and will be strongest between 3 to 7pm.

With parts of the viewing area hosting outdoor events today it’s good to remember “When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors.” Please seek shelter if and when lightning develops in today’s storms.

BOATERS: Expect winds from the NW between 10 to 15 knots, 1 to 2 foot wave heights and light chop in the bays. Later on tonight as a frontal boundary passes south through the area, expect wave heights closer to three feet and moderate chop in the bays.
