The Recreation Division of Charlotte County Community Services will be canceling weekend meet-ups due to the dangerous spike in the heat index.
The recreation staff was scheduled to visit the William R. Gaines Jr. Veteran’s Memorial Park and McGuire Park Saturday, July 22. Sunday, July 23’s meet-up was set for Tringali Park. Both visits are canceled.
