Whether you’re holiday shopping or heading out on a family adventure, The Weather Authority Meteorologist Lauren Kreidler has what you can expect:

Today:

  • It will be a cloudy start to our weekend, with periods of sun and clouds throughout the day.
  • A few showers will develop across Southwest Florida as a stationary front sits to the south.
  • Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to low 80s for our highs.

Tomorrow:

  • It’s a similar setup as Saturday, with a few showers developing across Southwest Florida.
  • Temperatures will be slightly warmer, with highs reaching the low to mid-80s.

This week:

  • A cold front is expected to lower our temperatures on Tuesday, with current models showing our highs only in the lower 70s. Overnight lows are likely to dip into the 50s on Wednesday and Thursday. Lower rain chances and lower humidity can be expected for most of the week, thanks to the cold front.
  • By Friday, temperatures are back to near average, in the low 80s, with more humidity coming back into the picture.

Tropics:

  • Watching one area that only has a 10% chance of developing in the next week. It is thousands of miles away from us here in Southwest Florida and moving away from us. 5 days until the end of hurricane season.
