Buckingham Airport crash. An airplane veered off the Buckingham Airport runway during takeoff, according to the FAA incident report, leaving it damaged. It happened on Monday, at around 3 p.m. The airport is located at 15191 Homestead Road in Lehigh Acres and is a “live with your plane” community located in Fort Myers approximately six miles north of Southwest Florida International Airport. The Beechcraft TC-12B airplane is registered with the Lee County Mosquito Control, according to the FAA incident page. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
